Normal Shampoo

Our all-natural Shampoo Bar is made from castor oil and wheat protein, which both build very strong and healthy hair shafts.  We have also included silk peptides and Vitamin B5 for a smooth and shiny look in this Natural Shampoo Bar, and Geranium, Patchouli, and Peppermint Essential Oils for their many skin benefits.  Geranium Oil is beneficial for congested, inflamed, or broken skin; Patchouli Oil helps treat eczema, heal cuts, and fade scars; and Peppermint Oil rejuvenates dull skin and dries excessively oily skin.  Our Natural Oily Shampoo Bar contains glycerin.  Glycerin is produced after these natural oils have been saponified, it repairs damaged scalp and conditions and restores skin to eliminate dandruff and scalp sensitivity.

Recommendations for our Natural Oily Shampoo bar:

We recommend that you use an apple cider vinegar (ACV) rinse before each use of our Natural Shampoo Bars.  Simply mix 30% water and 70% ACV in an inexpensive spray bottle and place it in a shower or tub. Wet hair and liberally spray hair with ACV/water mixture.  Leave in hair for 2 minutes before rinsing it out completely. This will remove any shampoo residue buildup from the time before. Wash hair as normal with a shampoo bar.

Our thoughts on the Natural Shampoo bar:

We have noticed a wide range of customers who regularly use or have tried our Natural Shampoo Bar.  Some love it – others hate it!  And we will be the first to tell you – our Natural Shampoo bars will challenge your thinking of what “natural” should feel like.  When people enter our retail location and notice we offer handmade shampoo in bar form the first response is “Wow, shampoo in a bar – how does that work?!!”  Natural Shampoo in bar form – cleans just as well – if not better than our commercial counterparts.  Next statement – “Do you use it?”  (I usually get asked that question because I have a lot of hair) and yes, it is all I use.  When I started using our Natural Shampoo bars (I use the Natural Shampoo) – I had to learn what “natural” was supposed to feel like.  We live in such an “unnatural” world that we have stereotyped the word “natural” into what we are used to or have grown up with.  But I would challenge you to redefine what nature should “feel” like.  There was quite the transition when I started using our handmade shampoo bar – my hair had to, sort of – detox from all the chemicals I had put on it for years!  But in a few days – it worked itself out, resulting in my new opinion of what “natural” is supposed to feel like.  I’ve concluded that the phrase “squeaky clean” is a very “natural” thing!  My hair feels squeaky clean when it is wet.  However, when it is dry – it feels just like the stereotyped word “natural.”  But the awesome thing – I’m not using tons of toxic chemicals that simply are not good for me!  I can feel good about my natural hair.  And I do!
