Spearmint Essential Oil has been used all over the world for centuries and is loved even still.  Because of is warmer scent, compared to peppermint, it seems to be regarded as a better choice for children.  Its amazing properties aid in acne, dermatitis, congested skin, asthma, bronchitis, catarrhal, and sinusitis.  Spearmint also aids in colic, dyspepsia, flatulence, hepatobiliary disorders, nausea, vomiting, colds, fevers, flu, fatigue, headache, migraine, and stress.  This essential oil is known to be an anesthetic (local), antiseptic, antispasmodic, astringent, carminative, cephalic, cholagogue, decongestant, digestive, diuretic, expectorant, febrifuge, hepatic, nervine, stimulant, stomachic, or tonic.
